Allen Bradley 871C series miniature inductive proximity sensors are self-contained, solid-state devices designed to sense the presence of ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects without touching them. These small-barrel sensors are designed for space-critical applications where standard-size sensors simply will not fit. IO-Link enabled sensors offer advanced features and diagnostics including Automatic Device Configuration, multiple profiles, trending, descriptive tags, and device-specific parameters

Reliably detect metal objects in harsh environments with this inductive proximity sensor from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range. It senses ferrous and non-ferrous metals, so it works with common materials such as steel and aluminium. An IP67 (ingress protection) rating means it's completely dust-tight and is suitable for temporary immersion in water up to 1m. This prevents particles from damaging components inside the barrel and enables the washing down of sensing areas. The unit's stainless steel housing makes it durable and easy to clean, so it's suitable for use in food and medical industries.
