Allen Bradley 871C series miniature inductive proximity sensors are self-contained, solid-state devices designed to sense the presence of ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects without touching them. These small-barrel sensors are designed for space-critical applications where standard-size sensors simply will not fit. IO-Link enabled sensors offer advanced features and diagnostics including Automatic Device Configuration, multiple profiles, trending, descriptive tags, and device-specific parameters

Detect metal objects up to 0.8mm away with this inductive proximity sensor from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range. The miniature barrel size, at just 25mm long, makes it ideal for use where space is tight. Vacuum potting gives it a long service life and a high maximum switching frequency of 5 kHz enables fast detection. The unit's IO-Link interface means data is delivered efficiently to a control centre. Sensors of this kind are commonly used in factory automation.
