   This pump and motor unit from Grundfos is used for circulating fluids in heating and air conditioning systems.

     It offers maintenance free and low noise operation as well as reduced energy consumption.

     Port to port distance is 342mm and its mass is 26kg (58lbs).

It has three speed options that provide an increase in pressure and flow rate, see the performance chart below for water at 60 degrees Celsius.

The motor to pump interface is designed to eliminate the requirement for a shaft seal.
The bearings are lubricated by the fluid pumped through the unit and are constructed of a ceramic based material for the radial bearings and carbon for the axial bearing.
Gaskets are needed only on the connection ports.
Although the unit is designed to be reliable in service and provide maintenance free operation, the unit could be dismantled by an expert if failure or damage did ever occur. The wearing parts are the bearings and to replace them, the internal housings would need to be removed. These housings are made water tight by the use of static seals which would best be renewed if a full overhaul of the unit is performed.
