Full Radius Slotting Cutters – Arbor Type

     

The Full Radius Slotting Cutteris a milling tool that cuts with its edges. It can be used for many operations such as slotting, grooving, and pocketing. This cutter has positive rake inserts that are ground to a full radius.  It can be used in a variety of materials ranging from mild steel to aluminium.  We would not recommend for facing, back facing, or contouring.

 

The full radius cutter precision-ground insert has a simple wedge-lock system along with an integral seat, making it perfect for milling full radius slots and grooves. The simple wedge-lock system makes setup easy, and the hi‐shear geometry gives you less wear and tear on your equipment.  Compatible with all CNC mills, this product is made in the USA and can be ordered in a variety of sizes to fit your specific needs.

 

 

Large Radius Corner Rounding End Mills

 

Corner rounding end mills are used to mill rounded corners on the face of a product. They have a concave cutting edge that leaves a smooth radius in the workpiece, eliminating the need for additional finishing work.  This is done with precision-ground inserts that can be replaced when worn out or rotated for fresh edges,

 

CTT offers round-end mills with a large radius, flared tips, ground inserts, and three-flute mills that leave smoother finishes than two-flute options but also help remove more material at once. These radius end mills are designed for profiling and slotting, are excellent at achieving surface finishes, corner rounding, and are best used in aluminium and other non-ferrous materials.

 

 

Single Flute – Positive Rake Countersinks

Countersinking and chamfer milling produces a conically tapered hole for screws, bolts, or rivets to sit in.  The tapered hole provides a recess for the head of the screw or bolt so that it will sit flush with or below the surface of the surrounding material.  Countersinks can also be used to remove burrs from drilled, punched, or machined holes, or can chamfer the edges of a drilled hole to break sharp edges.

 

The Single Flute – Positive Rake Countersinks by CTT are designed with a positive rake to provide smooth cutting action. These inserts are made of carbide and the cutter bodies are made with high-speed steel or alloys depending on .materials cut.  The single flute design offers efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a precise hole with minimum vibration, resulting in excellent finishes. It is also very forgiving if there is any unwanted chatter. The insert can be rotated three times before re-grinding and the holder only needs one adjustment if the insert is changed.

 

 

Front & Back Chamfer Mills

Front & Back Chamfer Mills make the process of back chamfering, chamfer grooving, and deburring much quicker and easier Chamfer mills are designed to cut a profile on the edge of a workpiece, but they can also be used to create radii. There are Four indexes per insert. The insert can be rotated four times before re-grinding and the holder only needs one adjustment if the insert is changed.
