The Ferrogard range of interlock switches provide high tolerance to guard door misalignment, alongside the dependability of contact-free switches.
The 440N-G02032 Ferrogard magnetically actuated unit has 1NC safety contact and the switching capability is 250V ac, 2A current. It has a 6m cable and FRS 6 housings made of durable moulded ABS plastic, which is red for easy visibility. The operating distance for this switch is 12mm (make), 23mm (break). The enclosure is sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P), ensuring that it is dust-proof and can withstand temporary immersion in water. The operating temperature range is -10°C to 65°C. This cost-efficient unit is ideal for use with sliding, hinged, and lift-off guard doors. The Ferrogard safety switches have protected contacts to help ensure that they do not fail to danger, giving you greater reliability.
How it works: Power supply to the machine is immediately isolated when the safety barrier is opened. This is due to the action of the magnetic actuator being removed from the switch, which opens the NC safety contact.
