Product Details
Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440G-TZS21UPLH Solenoid Interlock Switch
Experience advanced guard-locking and exceptional protection with the 440G-TZS21UPLH Solenoid Interlock Switch, with unique RFID coding, by Allen Bradley Guardmaster. This unit is part of the high-tech TLS-ZR-GD2 series, offering greater dependability and efficiency for your safety system. This innovative switch can be used in a guard-locking system to achieve the highest level of safety, performance level e to EN/ISO 13849-1.
This series has an identical profile to the existing TLS-GD2 family, however it also features an additional RFID door target. This target is mounted close-coupled with the help of a fully-flexible actuator. It has built-in microprocessor technology and 2 channel OSSD solid-state outputs. Locking/unlocking is achieved using a logic-level signal input. Due to the unique Radio Frequency Identification coding of the target, the internal microprocessor receives additional information on the door position. The microprocessor can then shut down the OSSD safety outputs in the event of a missing or broken actuator key.
The 440G-TZS21UPLH safety switch has Power-to-Lock functionality, 2 x PNP (0.2A max) safety contacts, 1 x PNP (0.2A max) auxiliary contacts, and a fully-flex actuator. Solenoid voltage is 24 V ac/dc. It has 8-pin micro (M12) conduit entry for fast, simple wiring. This unit also offers superior stability with a high holding force of 2000N (450lbs). The housing material is made of resilient UL Approved glass-filled PBT and the actuator is made of stainless-steel for improved durability. The operating temperature is -10 to +60 °C (14 to 140 °F).
Warning: Due to stock no. 890-2985 being a power-to-lock switch, provisions may be required to ensure that a dangerous situation cannot result from open circuit faults or power failures.
Features and Benefits:
Enhanced guard security and stability with RFID uniquely coded door sensor
Quick Disconnect connector offers fast and easy wiring
High locking force of 2000N
Solid-state contacts which can be connected in series to other devices such as light curtains, E-stops, and Sensaguard switches

Rockwell Automation is a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, and brings smart manufacturing to life. With a long legacy of creating Allen-Bradley integrated control and information solutions, we help make you as productive as possible. Our portfolio of sensing, safety and motor control products can support your move towards smart machine applications. Allen-Bradley IO-Link sensors are data-enabled and communicate with all field buses, providing diagnostic and health information about the device before a machine stops, and enabling quick production changeovers through fast parameter downloads from PLCs into the device. This reduces machine downtime and increases manufacturing OEE. For safety components, products with built-in diagnostics simplify the set-up of the smart device, and reduce maintenance, leading to a more efficient, machine data-driven approach.
What are Solenoid Interlock Switches?
A solenoid interlock switch is a type of safety switch with an internal solenoid; a wire coil which converts electrical energy to mechanical. This type of mechanism limits access to dangerous areas where machinery may be functioning by ensuring that that barriers remain securely shut. The safety guard can only be opened through either energising (Power to Release) or de-energising (Power to Lock) the solenoid with an external signal. They are often used in industrial environments, for example with high inertia rotating machines.
