If you need to seal a hose to a nipple or other fitting, you will need a
hose clamps. One of the simplest and popular clamps is a
worm gear clamp or often called as screw clamp. It has a captive screw on its band so you can adjust and tighten the clamp around the fitting. Ear clamps, on the other hand, has a stainless steel clamp. Instead of tightening a screw, you will need to use ear clamp pliers to secure a metal piece in place. Another clamp-type you can have is spring clamp. Just like other hose clamps, spring type is available in varying lengths and shapes. Its main advantage is it can return to its original shape even after you've manipulated it.
