Nasa's 'time machine' - World's most powerful telescope
Jan 21, 2016
In quest of Alien’s life, Nasa's telescope - 'time machine' will be able to see deep inside our galaxy upto 200 million years after the Big Bang. The telescope will be 100 times more powerful than Hubble. With 3 times larger mirrors, it is certainly the most powerful telescope the world has ever seen. The telescope will be launched by the European Space Agency, from French Guiana in 2018.
James Webb telescope 'with infrared vision that will peer back over 13.5 billion years to see the first stars and galaxies that formed out of the darkness of the early universe. At Nasa's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, the engineering team working round the clock the assemble different parts of the telescope
Several innovative technologies have been developed for the James Webb Telescope. It will study history of our universe, including the formation of solar systems, and how it supported life on planets like Earth, and the evolution of our own solar system.
James Webb Telescope will go to LaGrange Point, a place known as L2, which is 1.5 million km away in space. That distance will prevent it from being blinded by its own infra-red radiation and keep the telescope cold. It will follow the Earth around the sun over the course of the year.
