Peddle Power Bicycle can supply 24 hrs of electricity
Dec 08, 2015
Stationary hybrid bicycle, a new invention by Indian-American businessman Manoj Bhargava could generate power for 24 hours with just one hour of pedaling. He is the owner and founder of 5-hour ENERGY. The bicycle can generate enough power that can suffice to run lights, fans as well as for charging mobile phones. Also, users can keep a track of amount of calories burnt while pedaling this bicycle. Free Electric is a way of generating unlimited, pollution-free energy.
Along with good health, you get free electricity. The vehicle cost is around INR 12,000 - 15,000. The pedaling moves a flywheel, which spins a generator that charges the attached battery, which is used to generate electricity.
The ‘Free Electric’ hybrid bike is one of its own kinds, which is "light, small and simple”. It will be used in India to supply 24-hrs electricity in rural households with a single hour of pedaling. This is going to affect a few billion people. Manoj Bhargava plans to distribute some 10,000 of these electric bikes free to poor people in India next year. Such innovative home energy devices powered by humans could have a big impact in the developing world.
