ORS Bearing
ORS Bearings Inc. is a manufacturer of precision ball bearings such as standard and custom radial ball bearings, roller bearings, deep groove ball bearings, tapered roller bearings, and cylindrical roller bearings. ORS bearings are supplied to a wide range of industries such as fans, automotive, electrical appliances, daily used machinery, and industrial applications, to name a few.
History
ORS was established in 1982 as Ortadoğu Rulman Sanayi. Two years later, the company signed a partnership agreement with Steyr Waelzlager/Austria. Mass production of ORS bearings began in 1986. In 1988, the company made its first export. A year later, Steyr Waelzlager was acquired by SKF, which continued the original license agreement until 1991. In 1992, ORS started producing double-row bearings. The company obtained ISO 9000 certification the following year. In addition, a waste-water treatment plant was built. By 1994, 35% of the company's sales came from exports. In 1997, the company built a new forging facility. The following year, ORS built a co-generation power plant. In 1999, the company opened a warehouse in the U.S. ORS achieved QS9000 certification a year later. In 2003, the company received ISO/TS 16949 certification. The following year, ORS obtained ISO 14000 certification. For the next two years, the company constructed new facilities: two Natural Gas Co-Generation Power Plants as well as Forging and Turning facilities. In 2008, ORS started manufacturing cylindrical and tapered roller bearings. An R&D Center was opened in 2009. Within the same year, ORS started production of sheet metal clutch bearings. ORS' second wastewater treatment plant was constructed in 2010. Three years later, the company constructed a new factory building. In 2014, the company reached a new milestone: 1 billion products produced.

ORS has its head office located in Ankara, Turkey along with its manufacturing facility. The company also has offices in Instanbul and İzmir. ORS Bearings USA is located in Covington, Georgia.
